Artist CV & Bio

Artist Statement

I am a 25-year-old artist and committee member for HUBCAP Gallery, currently studying for an HND in Contemporary Art Practice at Edinburgh College.

My practice is concept-based, often exploring themes of place, identity, memory and communication.  I use drawing to develop initial responses and enjoy working with a wide range of media, such as 2D, 3D, collage, found objects, photography, video and text.  I find that working between media produces the most interesting results and that it’s often necessary to work beyond what feels comfortable, which I will always try to keep doing.

Alongside my individual practice I am a committee member for HUBCAP Gallery, an art space founded in 2019 by myself and eight fellow CAP students.  This experience has been invaluable and made curatorial and collaborative work central to how I see myself working as an artist.
