Been trying to use sketchbook more, as it helps for outdoor work, observations and forming ideas/bouncing them off each other. Enjoying the carbon copy effect created by covering alternate pages with graphite stick - negatives, imprints and rubbings. Excessive use of graphite stick made me more aware of its material qualities - surprisingly slick, oily - coats my hands as I coat the page. When the paper's covered on both sides it looks/feels metallic, like a foil.
