Graphite paper zines:
Covering the faces of leaders of the five major Scottish Parties (SNP, Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem, Green) with intention to rub out again – could be a participatory zine where reader uncovers the content.
Content could also be observation text, research, poetry, drawings – all with pen (printer ink fades pretty easily).
Excessive use of graphite stick made me more aware of its material qualities – surprisingly slick, oily – coats my hands as I coat the page. When the paper’s covered on both sides it looks/feels metallic, like a foil.
